WATL Tier 3 Tournament

We will be hosting four World Axe Throwing League Tier 3 Tournaments this year!

Each one will allow you to compete for circuit points for a chance to earn a bid to the World Axe Throwing Championships! Sponsorship opportunites available for your business, contact us for more information!

February 5th – 2 Year AXEiversary Tournament (Hatchet & Big Axe)

March 19th – Last Frontier Spring Luau Tournament (Duals / Big Axe / Hatchet ) POSTPONED

This will be a sanctioned WATL Tier 3 Tournament (must meet minimum of 16 participants to qualify), following all WATL rules and regulations regarding match play. You will be able to earn circuit points towards the World Axe Throwing Championships! Winter seems to be dragging on!? Come throw with us at our Spring Luau Tournament on Sunday March 19th! Big Axe, Duals, and Hatchet! Wear your favortie Hawaiian shirt or luau attire!

This will be a sanctioned WATL Tier 3 Tournament (must meet minimum of 16 unique participants to qualify), following all WATL rules and regulations regarding match play. You will be able to earn circuit points towards the World Axe Throwing Championships!

There will be no additional sign ups after Wednesday March 15th. No sign ups in person day of tournament, brackets will already be set.

Space will be limited for spectators and priority will be given to tournament participants.

Open practice for Big Axe will begin at 9am, with match play beginning at 9:30am.

Open practice for Duals will begin immeditaly following Big Axe, expected to break for lunch around 12:30pm.

Lunch Break 12:30 – 1:30pm – Caterer TBD!

Hatchet will begin promptly at 2:00pm, practice will be available for competitors during lunch.

Times subject to change depending on number of participants/ pace of play. Updates will be sent out closer to tournament date.

All rules governing match play and scoring will be in accordance with current WATL sanctioned league/ tournament rules. See WATL rules section on their website for further information.

Bracket will be a double elimination format, with the Championship round consisting of a “Best 2 out of 3”. Throwers that lose the first time will drop down to a “B” bracket, where if they lose again will be eliminated. Winner of the “A” bracket will face off against the winner of the “B” bracket for the tournament Championship.

Prize payout will be 40% of total registration fees. (Per discipline)

Axes will be available for use and provided if needed. Participants are allowed to bring their own axes but, they must meet WATL criteria and be approved by a Last Frontier Axe Co. official. See WATL rules for more information or ask any member of our staff regarding axe specifications.
